Roulé au Nutella” by Lilian

For 6 people

 

  • 4 eggs, yolks and whites separated.

  • 4 oz flour.

  • 4 oz sugar.

  • A pinch of salt.

  • 7 fl oz fresh cream.

  • 3 tbls of Nutella.

  • 1 packet of CREMFIX ( optional ).

  • 2 tbls icing sugar.

  1. Preheat oven at 350° F.
  2. Put the cream into the fridge and let it cool for 10 minutes.

  3. Cream the sugar and the egg yolks together until the mixture turns white.

  4. Beat the egg whites with the salt until they reach the soft peak stage.

  5. Roll out to a rectangle in a baking dish covered with greaseproof paper.

  6. Bake 12 - 15 mins at 340° F.

  7. Remove the pastry and put a wet rag under it and cover it with a second wet rag. Let it cool.

  8. Whisk the cream with the icing sugar and the CREMFIX. Add some Nutella and keep on whisking.

  9. Spread some chantilly cream over the dough and roll it up, starting at a long edge.

  10. Wrap the Nutella roll in some cling film and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
